overnight oats

carrot cake edition🥕

PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES

TOTAL TIME: OVERNIGHT (PULLING AN ALL-NIGHTER IS CHEATING)

YIELDS: ONE SERVING

INGREDIENTS​

DRY

  • 1/2 CUP rolled oats

  • 1/2 TEASPOON ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 TABLESPOON chia seeds

  • 1/4 CUP walnuts, roughly chopped

WET

  • 1/2 CUP + 1/4 CUP (thinner consistency) or 1/2 CUP + 2 TABLESPOONS (thicc consistency) milk (oat, almond, soy)

    • tip: unsweetened alternatives taste better!​

  • 1 + 1/2 TABLESPOONS honey (maple syrup)

  • 1 TABLESPOON mixed nut butter (optional, for extra healthy fats)

  • 1/2 CUP carrot, finely grated

  • 1/2 TEASPOON vanilla extract

STEPS

  1. POUR ALL DRY INGREDIENTS INTO CONTAINER AND MIX WELL

  2. POUR IN ALL WET INGREDIENTS AND KEEP MIXING!

  3. PLACE CONTAINER (COVERED) IN THE REFRIGERATOR FOR AT LEAST 2 HOURS OR OVERNIGHT 

  4. EAT COLD OR HEAT IT UP IN THE MICROWAVE FOR 1 MINUTE (900WATTS)
