INGREDIENTS

  • 2 SHEETS rice paper

  • 1 chicken schnitzel (vegetarian ones taste better), cooked and sliced

  • â…“ cucumber, sliced

  • 1 large tomato, only the skin, sliced

  • 1 HANDFUL lettuce

  • 1 MEDIUM carrot, sliced

  • 2 SPRIGS basil, plucked

  • â…› red cabbage, sliced

STEPS

  1. MAKE WARM WATER IN A PAN. ONCE WARM, DIP HALF OF THE RICE PAPER SHEET INTO THE WATER AND START TURNING IT IN THE WATER SO THAT THE WHOLE SHEET SOFTENS SLOWLY. ONCE YOU FEEL LIKE ITS ALMOST COMPLETELY SOFT, PLACE THE SHEET ON A PLATE.

  2. THE KEY IS TO PACK ENOUGH INGREDIENTS IN THE MIDDLE LIKE A RECTANGLE (HORIZONTALLY LIKE SO: â–­) BUT DO NOT OVERFILL IT TO THE SIDES. OVERFILLING WILL MAKE YOUR EXPERIENCE A LITTLE BIT... ROUGH.

  3. ONCE YOU'RE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE IN THE SHEET, FOLD THE SIDES ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT OF THE INGREDIENTS INWARDS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT RIPPING THE SHEET. 

  4. CUT THE ROLLS IN HALF DIAGONALLY AND ENJOY!
