avocado toast 🥑

INGREDIENTS​

  1. 4 PIECES OF bread (dairy-free bread), sliced

  2. 1 avocado, mashed

  3. ¼ TEASPOON garlic powder

  4. A PINCH OF salt

  5. A PINCH OF pepper

 

            tip: spice things up with...

  • smoked salmon 

  • fried egg

  • chili flakes

  • Sriracha sauce

STEPS

  1. TOAST YOUR BREAD (IN A TOASTER OR IN A PAN OVER THE STOVE IF YOU DON'T OWN A TOASTER LIKE ME).

  2. HALF THE AVOCADO, REMOVE THE PIT (WARNING: AVOCADO HAND IS A THING SO DON'T HURT YOURSELF)DICE THE HALVES BY MAKING HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL CUTS WITHOUT PUNCTURING THROUGH THE SKIN, THEN USE A SPOON TO SCOOP THE AVOCADO INTO A BOWL AND START MASHING.

  3. POUR GARLIC POWDER, SALT AND PEPPER INTO THE BOWL AND STIR WELL​.

  4. ASSEMBLE YOUR AVO-TOAST! â€‹â€‹

    • HIGHLY RECOMMEND ADDING SMOKED SALMON OR A FRIED (OR POACHED) EGG FOR EXTRA OMEGA-3 â€‹AND PROTEIN.
