burrata salad
fresh cream and tomatoes
TOTAL TIME: 5 MINUTES
YIELDS: ONE SERVING
INGREDIENTS
-
1 HANDFUL or 1½ CUP salad leaves (spinach, arugula, lettuce, mesclun etc.), roughly chopped or not
-
1 HANDFUL or ½ CUP ripe cherry tomatoes, halved
-
½ HANDFUL basil leaves, roughly chopped
-
1 burrata cheese
-
1-2 TABLESPOONS olive oil
-
1 TABLESPOON balsamic vinegar/white wine vinegar
-
1 GOOD DRIZZLE (1 TABLESPOON) cremissimo balsamic (optional but recommended)
-
pinch of salt and pepper

STEPS
(I usually just toss everything on a plate and pour the dressing on top and mix on my plate but if you're a pro unlike me, I'd follow these steps)
OPTION 1:
-
PLACE THE LEAVES AT THE BOTTOM, THEN LAYER WITH HALVED TOMATOES AND BURRATA CHEESE (IN PIECES OR AS A WHOLE).
-
MIX THE OLIVE OIL, BALSAMIC VINEGAR, SALT AND PEPPER IN A SMALL BOWL. POUR OVER THE SALAD. DRIZZLE CREMISSIMO SAUCE ALL OVER.
OPTION 2:
-
PUT LEAVES, HALVED TOMATOES, OLIVE OIL, BALSAMIC VINEGAR, SALT AND PEPPER IN A BOWL AND MIX.
-
PLATE THOSE ON A PLATE, WITH BURRATA CHEESE ON TOP AND DRIZZLE WITH CREMISSIMO.
